Hanz Ronald’s (1996, Catanduva, SP, Brazil) paintings and drawings investigate the body and nature as a means of addressing themes such as desire, affection, and eroticism, grounded in his queer experiences. Through surreal, mythical, and fantastical references, he employs vibrant color palettes to shape new contemporary narratives.
In 2023, he showcased the result of years of research in his first solo exhibition, titled "ELÃ", curated by Bruno Novaes. In 2022, his work was added to the collection of the Cultural Diversity Center of São Paulo. Since then, he has participated in both national and international group exhibitions, including "Do write [right] to me" in New York in 2021, curated by Ana Roman, and "Insurgent Affections" at the Cultural Center of Correios in Rio de Janeiro in 2023.
Ronald currently lives and works in São Paulo. In 2018, he was awarded a scholarship at the University of Fine Arts of São Paulo, where he graduated and began his research in Visual Arts.
